If you where asked to donate and you found a penny in your pocket would you do it?
Thats what it feels to him to donate that kind of money

He's worth around $60 billion and donating $750 million is not pocket change, even to him.

750 million is 750 million. As in 3/4 of a billion dollars.

          That's not a penny.

The other big thing is you are considering $60bil to be his net worth. He doesnt actually have 60bil. $750million is a shit load whoever you are, as long as its your money.

$750 million is not chump change.....even by Bill Gates' standards. That is simply a huge sum of cash to donate for any cause. He should be applauded for his generosity.

P.S. Keep in mind this isn't the first time 'ol Gates' has made a donation. He has made other contributions to funding education such as purchasing computers for under-funded schools.

Don't we go through this everytime some rich person makes a huge donation?

Whether or not $750 million is pocket change or not to Bill Gates, it is still $750 million he earned and gave away.

                    word.

We went through this with the Basketball players and Rap stars 'not' donating enough money.

Very true. However you feel about microsoft, you have to admire Gates' philanthropy.

There are hundreds of better places that money could have gone.

Maybe Bill Gates thinks differently and it is his money after all.
