didn't the race version of the S38/M88 end up around 375-400 chp? if the factory can't get more NA power out of it for a race engine, I doubt you'll be able to.

They were around 400-450 iirc, but they were worked to high heaven. The guy with an E30M3 S38 I referenced is putting out similar power levels, but likely hit the same wall the factory did.

Not a damn bit. Dry sump frees maybe 5 horsepower which gets eaten up by added pumping loss. The main point of a dry sump is to maintain oil supply in hard cornering.

            bingo

a muscle-car kinda magazine just did an article on the the new GM LS7 (Corvette ZO6), which has a dry sump motor, and showed how to retrofit LS3 wet-sump oil parts to use in swap cars. They dynoed it before and after on an engine (not chassis) dyno. It made 10 more hp with the DRY sump system. Really.

yea it's the S62 hahahaha. The M60 can easily put out 400 with some tweaks.

How are you going to deal with 5L torque and skinny 245s?

                              Is he almost done?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

There is a 11x hp target for that,, and IMO not worth it

the engine pulls well,, 300 hp+ is maby no problem but to get in to the 400 hp range NA will cost a fortune i think,,

many owners have S/C their engine with 450 hp easy ,, but the cost is also high
