I've got this one on DVD :D

The car uses a Hewland style gearbox. You use the clutch on downshifts, but not on upshifts.

Damn, finally watched it. Id love to see what speed he is going on the final straight before the Start/finish. He passes what may have been a 206 or a Cosworth Ford but at that speed I cant make it out.

Id love to live near a track that takes one of the best drivers in the world in one of the best race built sedans in the world 8 minuts to complete one lap.

This is the same video that the Performance Center showed at the local CCA chapter party. The Hans Stuck video clip is just one of three on the DVD.
The two other drivers were Boris Said and Duncan Huisman. The Hans Stuck lap was a qualifing lap for the 24hrs of Nurburgring.
On the DVD, Said and Huisman's laps are actual race laps. The two M3 GTRs finished 1 and 2.

iirc its a hewland box, at least thats what they used back in alms cause sequential boxes are/were illegal

I have come to find out it is a Hewland. Clutch only needed on downshifts.

They were illegal until porsche came out with a sequential box, screw the ACO/IMSA/ALMS - Go Grand Am.
