Let me see the suspension design is trash. The interior quality is trash. The quality of the parts they use are fucking trash. I had a friend just anhialate his head on his turbo civic while repainting his ugly valve cover. He was screwing down the bolts for the valve cover and the threaded hole the bolt went into (in the head) broke in half. The head literally broke.
We laughed at him for hours. Granted his car was the fastest in the driveway. Fast doesn't mean shit.
susupension design trash?? your f'ing retarded I much rather have my civic suspension back over this e30 stupid ass strut housing and rear suspension. What civic did he have that was crappy? have you ever sat in some leather gsr seats? they put our sport seat to shame. The quality of parts is trash? Really, how? Because your idiot of a friend used ten foot pounds on those bolts instead of inch pounds? It's a steel bolt being screwed into aluminum. yes base models are lacking in luxury, but they are all quality parts.
A properly set up civic or teg is very fast in the corners.Comment

maybe a full front clip. Or exaggerating. A type r goes for about that but it makes over 200. he proabably has a b16 which should run about 1k for a good one. they are becoming rare.
for the money I much rather have and f20,h22,h23 vtec motor. they are all around 1k as well but make more power and tq.Comment

Twenty years ago, the m50 was standard in the e36 and e34, the motor everyone is putting in there e30 now and still similar to the inline sixes used in bimmers now...... the s14 had more power than any Si Civic makes until recently, and BMW built the first german v12 in the 7 and 8 series. Please explain to me how Honda was making better engines 20 years ago, now, or ever.1985 BMW 325e

Honda has successfully been making more power per liter for the past 20 years out of efficient engines on the market. Tis true.Comment

I raced my ex in her Integra GSR B18c or whatever(manual 5sp) in my old 325e( chip, muffler)...i got her off the line, but once she hit vtak she murderd my ass.
i learned my lesson.
In my 325is? different story! not fast, but it's got the kick!Originally posted by e30elose the old man bmwcca badge.Comment

I think they mean stock block/internals/head.
Even then I think the ferrari f355 beat it by a couple years, and the McLaren f1 did it back in 92 with the bmw m70 engine. (If you consider it a production car...)
Because this is an e30 forum I'll point out that the e30 m3 evo sport made 94hp/liter in 1990.
Oh yeah and Mazda rotary motors have made over 100hp/liter since the 70s but some will argue the 13b is 2.6 liters not 1.3Comment
