rant: paypal SUCKS@!

I just recieved a payment of $770 ( minus 120 shipipng the stuff). Paypal took out 30 dollors!!!!! :shock:

Now I only made 620 bucks and Im pissed!!! I can see them taking out maybe 10 dollars but common 30!

ant there like a quasi-cash option that you can use an paypal cant chage you? Whats up with this? and why didnt my buying use this :?

what kind of account do you have? I've had my paypal account since 2000, but I've never been charged that much for any transaction.

No. I really would like to work at a body shop during the summer though and my dad has some connections at PPG ;)

Heres how I afforded all this stuff.
during the summer I worked for my grandpa doing small jobs and saved a bunch up
purchased 87 IS lip, zender side skirts and rear apron

after finding a great buy on ebay.uk for a full mtech1 kit i jumped on it and asked if he would ship. for 500 bucks I got the whole thing over here. I just had to take the money out of my bank acount.

Now to make some money back I sold the 87 IS lip/ MTECH1 sides (not zender), and the zender rear arpon for 650- 30 bucks. I made about 120 dollar profit.

Im sick of all this body stuff and I cant wait to get my euro bumpers and be through with it so I can start working on the suspension

I use it all the time. I have over 200 transactions from verified buyers. they take out a fair chunk, but look how easy it is to just have the money there, no running to the bank to deposit a money order and wait for it to clear your bank, god forbid you recieve a personal check and wait another 10 days until you can ship something only to find out that the customer bounced the check, ect.
They tell you exactly what they charge, it just looks alarming on a large transaction like you just made.

I can see what you mean, but for someone like me its different.
I dont have a job and I dont do that many online tranactions so going to the bank once or twice every few months wouldnt be that big of a deal and would be worth the extra 30 bucks.

oops I forgot I have some christmas money laying around, that will make up for it :D

On Auctions I always include the paypal costs into my delivery costs. I should offer discounts for people who come up with a free form that works as well but everyone always pays with paypal.

Also that is bullshit on waiving your pretection rights. The way the law is worded the only way to circumvent it is to authorize the incedent transcation.

I just sold a scanner on ebay for 437.00 including shipping they took 13.00 which as Ryan said is reasonable for the ease of having the money. The guy paid Saturday and the money was in my account Monday.

FTR most credit card client services START at $27/month and 1.8% of the transaction amount around here.
