Sorry to hear this, that blows... just do your best to get it back through friends and threats... if it comes down to stealing his shit or violence, back out man... jail & a criminal record really isnt worth it. Take this as a Hard Knocks School of Life lesson to keep expensive shit out of your car, or out of plain sight. Always double lock your car and put shit in your trunk. In the summer my top is pretty much always down, so i just got in the habbit of keeping everything in my trunk. Its a bit of a pain in the ass to put my ipod and faceplate and camera in the trunk every time i get out of the car, but its better than going without them.

Do you go to school with this kid? Do you know him from somewhere? If so, a confrontation (face to face) would probably yield some results, if you can scare the shit out of him enough.

"I wasn't sure at first, but now I know due to some evidence that you wouldn't understand"
If you KNOW with evidence, then you can use this against him, because the police does not need to see the stolen stuff in the guy's house, just find sufficient evidence showing that he in fact stole the goods, which you seem to have. But maybe you don't.

Its very unfortunate that this kind of stuff happens and I hope you get your property returned to you and whoever is responsible has a day in court. Your misfortune reinforces my reason for keeping virtually nothing in my car (even if its out of sight). If someone where to break into my car at this moment , the most valuable items in my glovebox would be a small cheap-o flashlight, a ball-point pen and a small tablet of paper. Ditto for the trunk.....aside from the usual stuff (spare, jack, factory tools) there's a California Water Blade and a cotton towel. That's it.
In my opinion, any extra stuff is just unwanted cluter and weight....plus I don't hear loose items flying all over the place when I take that freeway connector ramp at 75+mph
