sure i do. even if i had money to throw at useless things, throwing $160 to paint stock headers would still be out of the question. i'm just suggesting that this job doesn't have to be so expensive and it can still get done right.
i don't have pictures from personal experience with headers, but high temp engine paint is a product that's proven to work, its not a gimmick or something.

really, because I've seen dozzens of people try to paint M20 manifolds and it always flakes off after a week...sure i do. even if i had money to throw at useless things, throwing $160 to paint stock headers would still be out of the question. i'm just suggesting that this job doesn't have to be so expensive and it can still get done right.

Whats the proper way to paint them? If you're going to do something, do it right. You don't want to have to take the exhaust manifolds off again after the paint flakes off only to have them ceramic coated. Its a pain to get them off...1993 325ic Schwarz/Natur

This is because you did it wrong. Remember, to use high-temp paint correctly, you have to paint it while the surface is hot.
So, get your car up to temp by racing around your block a few times. Then get your spray can out the trunk (the racing helped shake it). Shake it some more, then just go spray your manifolds while they are hot. It helps the paint stick. You'll only be able to paint the surfaces you can see, but thats all that matters anyway right?
