    Miller MAF...

So, just got off the phone with MillerPerformance...very interested in their MAF+W.A.R. Chip. Is this upgrade really worth the $600? So far, I've turned my super eta into the 2.7i with a reground 272 Cam in it,exhaust, dinan chip,3.73 LSD.,K&N drop in filter. They claim gains for these "stroker" engines, but have they been proven...any input from people who OWN/tried this system before would be great. Another plus is my name is Miller, would be cool to have my name in the engine bay, also they said they would give me free shipping since my last name is Miller.

Also, add what other mods you have done along with your Miller MAF system.

I'm a proponent of the MAF+WAR setup for sure, as to whether or not it was worth $600, kinda hard to weigh in. I've certainly spent a lot more on crap for my e30 that was most certainly not as worthwhile. And if I could rebuild my car all over again, this would definitely be on the short list of things I would do again. I will most certainly say that the MAF is easily installed, and immediately noticed.

And having a non stock engine setup like yours, I'd definitely want something like the WAR. But then again, the MS crowd has their arguments, I personally just was interested in something as user friendly as the Miller set up.

But, the free shipping is definitely a sweet addition there. I think it cost me about $45 to ship.

The WAR Chip seems like a good idea, because it can be used for my s50 for when my m20 decides to die.

NaplM00 what kinda mods you have? and did you notice much from the Miller MAF

I'm planning my m20 build and as far as I've read and seen the Miller setup is really convenient, all plug and play.
Everyone I've heard talking about the MAF has said that the throttle response is awesome and apparently the m20 runs smoother after the install. The WAR chip kinda speaks for itself, and again I've heard people say that they're gonna put the WAR chip in every e30 they own!
It all sounds good to me.

I've got two friends with this setup on their S14's. One is a stock 2.3 and the other is an Evo 3 spec 2.5. Both were dyno tuned by Miller. They are great when you are driving the car the way it was meant to be driven, but if you just drive around town without spinning the motor up they run rich enough to foul the plugs FAST. It has been enough of an issue that both are considering removing the system and returning to the stock setup.

Of course, this issue is sort of characteristic of S14's anyway. The Miller system might have amplified this tendency though. Just thought I'd mention that.

I was hoping they had a MAF setup for the M42, but no. I was going to run it as opposed to the TMS chip I just put in.

If I can get them to make that setup I'll sell the TMS chip.

So could you use a Miller MAF Conversion on a car with a Mark D chip and 19 pound injectors?

My engine is bone stock, the unit arrives today. I have been through 3 used AFMs and got sick of it.

Ill be installing new intake gaskets and 19# design 3 injecotrs at the same time.

on a side note I wnet from a 153 to 173 ECU last week to prepare for this mod and saw a 1-2MPG improvement

the MAF comes with a chip (not a WAR chip) which runs the MAF on the motronic ecu and has a better tune on it. The WAR chip is extra.
