I finally hit the mark. :)

After having the hot motor in my car for a while, I finally hit the mark today.

Ya know, the last mark on an E30 speedometer. 8) Yup, 150mph. :shock:

The funny thing is, I didn't realize it right away. I was coming back to school on a deserted I-40 this morning. It was just me and a red C5 coupe with a loud, 2 pipe exhaust. I had gotten behind him, he was going about 70, and he dropped it a few gears and took off. Giving chase, I wound out 3rd gear....4th gear....hit 5th at WOT to catch the man, and started to pull on him at about a hundred and thirty. Then I looked down for a split second and was at ~148.....and we stayed in it for a few more seconds. 8)


Good times. Granted I was making use of the Vette's slipstream, I still caught him and hit the mark.

The quickest I've gone in my car so far is about 125, but it feels like its got a bunch more power. I think it will probably do 140, but there aren't too many places to safely hit that kinda speed around here.

On a side note, supposedly there was this guy who lived in my area who frequently drove his black Lamborghini Diablo at 180-plus mph down the highway in the middle of the night. He pulled it off because he did it with his lights off, and wore night vision goggles. The cops didn't catch him for months because they thought it was just a glitch when their radar gun flashed "198" for a split second. Now that guy was a crazy motherfuka. :shock:

I wonder what my car would be capable of if I had a 3.25:1 lsd. By the way, for people with 3.25's can you hit 60 in 2nd gear? That would be sick for my car if I could ever get traction.
