I've hit almost 130 in my 325i automatic. It was very stable at that speed. I slowed up cos I got afraid. my best friend was in my e30 at the time too. he is another e30er (doesn't really post here tho) he has a red lowered 91 318is.

I've always had that competitiveness. I'll race anyone who provokes a race with me. I never look or start a race..but if someone pisses me off or tries to show me up...I'm gonna come at ya untill you give up. Not a smart move...buyt when ur pumped up u do stupid things. I've smoked all the ricers who have ever attempted to challenge me. It's just a adrenaline thing I guess. when your pissed off u do stupid things.

I've been drivin it for a while now. And after I get it in, i need to do 450 city miles on it before I can "Apply full power." I want to do this in like a day or 2 so I can tune it on thursday or early friday, cause i'm entering a car show on friday afternoon.

But to get back on topic, stu, what clutch do you have to put the power that got you to 150 to the ground?

150 doesnt seem that fast on the highway. I dont make a habit of going that fast but unless you start looking at close landmarks the road goes by deceptively slow.

Hmm, I've hit 110-115 in my ETA, then it just won't accelerate much anymore. I'm pretty sure it can go faster, but, I'll figure all that out later.

Last night I let a miata and a prelude pass me on some twisty roads that were absolutely empty (there were no oncoming cars for 45 minutes).

I know I would win, so I just let them go, it ain't worth it... Or at least it wasn't at the time.
