ahhh how do people get off on vandalism

so i got home from vacation today and went over to the friends house i had my e30 vert stored at... i get into the car and look over to the passenger side window and notice my soft top was slashed from the windshield all the way to the trunk. nothing was stolen, not my cd player or any tools in the trunk. i am confused to who'm would do this and not take anything... now i will have to battle with insurance company to get this fixed.. i hope they don't write the vehicle off.. my top was brand new 3 years ago and showed no wear at all. i will try to have pics up later... does anyone have advice on what to do?
.. i paid 5800 for the vert it is in great condition.. i know a new top will cost along the lines of 2500 with instal. the hard part will be to find a reputable shop in my area+get a decent quote.

That fucking sucks man. Sorry that you have to go through the hassle because some assholes had nothing better to do. Your friend did not see anything? Fight your insurance company hard. Do you have the slip from when you got your top done?

I might know a guy in edmonton with a hardtop if thats something you would be interested in.

Cheaper than getting the soft top repaired most likely.

            Who knows

Maybe your local convertible repair shop is not having enough work, so there's possibility one of them secretly running around slashing convertible cars, so they'll get more orders coming.

Or, a guy who desperately wants quick money by selling of his soft top.

SUCKS to hear about this, but this is one more reason why I will never own a convertible. Scumbags love to slash convertible tops.

Get a hardtop. They are like 1500 in great condition. Totally worth it!

Maybe your friend got drunk and found out youve been doing his woman.

im sorry man. insurance will cover it.

$0 deductible on comprehensive is a good idea. it only cost me $40/year more. so if i have 1 claim, it more than pays for itself.

i've had 9 claims on my rx8 (vandalism, parking lots, etc) in less than 3 years. each one cost me $100 on my deductible. when i switched insurance companies i changed that. i'll have $0 deductible for comprehensive now forever.

                              WRONG

i replaced mine with only paying 350 for a new top shipped.
Easy to replace on your own.

i want to kill the little fucker that cut me a sunroof to steal a skateboard and not an ipod.
