    Name that failure! (HELP!)

Well driving to work today my CEL came on.

    Here are the symptoms:

Stomp test reveals Code "1223" coolant temp sensor
Car hesitates under accel and hessitats heavily under hard accell
    wonky idle
Will drive fine when under 3-3.5k as long as you are really really easy on it.

Well im goin to check the coolant temp sensor and try to replace today. Any other suggestions? Before the stomp test I was thinking Crank Position sensor.

EDIT: I'm at work and dont have access to my Bently andone have resistance readings for the coolant sensor(are they different and different temps?) I have a meter here at work.

          Ok,

Where does the CLT wiring terminate? I want to check for a short in the wiringin as well

C191 is the main engine to chassis plug correct?

If i measure resistance from pin 1 on the CLT sensor plug (br/red) wire to pin 1 on C191 I should get little to no resistance, or a tone on the diode test correct?

If that tests out ok, then testing from the connector to Pin 45 on the motronic connector should produce the same results..

Pin 2 shoud have little or no resistance to ground (Br/OR)

EDIT: C191 is the injector plug under the intake manifold, im goin to go spary some WD 40 in the bad boy right now

              is my logic flawless?

OK well i ohmed out the circut

I am ok everywhere except for from C191 to the ECU connector on PIN1 to PIN45

I am getting 13-14.5 Mega Ohms...

If I am reading the diagram correctly..that should be a straight shot with little to no resistance correct? I am measuring with the ECU disconnected from the plug directly and fron the car side of the disconnected C191 plug.

Besides opening up the harness to repair this line is how else can I quixk fox this unitl i get home later? run a jumper?

where the heck is George graves?

Dont think its the sensor, after finding that open connection, i think its the C191 plug

Ive never taken apart one of these cannon plugs, im guessing it just comes apart fromt the rear?

ended up being the c191 connector, took it apart and it had a corroded wire...replaced the pin and its Aok now!
