New Honda Guy: I want an E30!

hey whats up guys. I've been lurking this forum for a while now; see many clean bimmers. I come from the Honda game so I'm not a total idiot on cars. I drive a 97' RS Integra. Because of this pos I got my license suspended BUT I'm getting it back in 1 month. I love it to death but theres way too much hassle when driving a so called "rice burner". Especially the cops and all the criticism that goes around; rice this rice that, my v8 will kill your honda blah blah blah.... but yeah, I'm not too familiar with bimmers so be easy on me.

My goal is just have some clean and simple. 16x7 or 16x8 wheels depending on offset, 2.5" to 3" drop (do not want tire gap), Euro lip of some sort and a clean paint job.

Here is a pic of my pos:

Welcome. Your car don't look riced out at all. And your plan for an e30 sounds pretty good.

          license revoked?

lol ya in these cars, with no engine mods or anything, you wont really have the need for speed. granted they are a blast to drive, but no Straight-away speed, which is kinda nice.

as for the drop, 3 inches is a bit much. 1.5-2 inches is pretty normal.

what do you mean? no straight away speed? an e30 can hit 130mph and that is far more than enough speed to land you in a metric shit ton of trouble. especially on a 25mph road in front of an elementary school that just got out.

                maybe you mean acceleration.

                  welcome to RWD.

shop around, as many a bmw are pos too, but there are also many perfect examples for a very reasonable price.

beware of the timing belts, and if an owner doesn't know what a t.b. is, then either find history, or don't buy that car. !

great cars when maintained, but other times, very tempermental.

btw, mines been awesome and reliable for years.
all lights and checks work properly, and when they light up, they get corrected immidiately.

i was kind of thinking about that. it has me leaning towards the VW mk3/4 a little bit since they're newer but you can't floss in a VW like you would in a bimmer

car looks alright... what makes it a ricer look is when someone puts a freakin wing that's wider than the car's width haha
