I does has me an M3 or converible widebody project(u choose)

I just had this delivered today from miami. came from a member of s14.net. it also came with a nice set of un damaged quarter panels and i really nice rear bumper. the build date is 3/87. i think it might be the 7th car to roll off the line.

it was a good deal. my plan is to put all the body panels on my vert. just something to ponder. talk amongst yourselves. i'm feeling a little verklept. it's like butta! i will be posting a build thread as i get around to it. also, I'll be selling everything i don't use so look for a thread in that section coming soon to a theater near you! as you can see, no motor/trans or 5 lug parts.

Glad someone picked it up. Thought it was going to end in the wreckers. It really is vin 007 saw the car personally. I offered him $800 including the panels but he wouldn't go below $1k. Guess he got tired of looking at it.

Sad to see so many wrecked M3's. Didn't come with an engine right? I would try to fix it if it's not too much work. I think it'll pay off in the long run.

im not really understanding the whole vin number thing. my M has a build date in 86 and was somewhere around the 300th built-- maybe the u.s. models had different numbers.

            have fun with it

there are so many things about this car that are different than a standard e30. since i have never owned an m3 i didn't realize(other than the body panels) how much of an oddball it is. for example, the antenna that sticks out of the middle of the roof. i haven't unloaded it off my trailer yet, but i plan on checking it out really well now that it is daylight. i was just thinking that i have every e30 body style sitting in my back yard now. the sheet metal that i have is in fantastic shape. originally, i had made a deal to buy a car out of ohio, but i had some personal circumstances that needed the money that was going to this project. turns out better for me in the end. i ended up going with this car because it has a front bumper which is pretty much impossible to find. some time ago, i was checking on bma and i found that you can still buy all this stuff new. the quarters and fenders are more reasonable than i would have expected. however, the front and rear bumpers made me go into coronary arrest when the guy on the phone told me the price. i think i left a load in my shorts!

it has a salvage tittle. i know that can be gotten around but it will always carry that mark around with it. as such, i don't think it will ever be worth the 16 or 18 grand that these sell for these days.

I say put it back together with 24 valves of fury and E36 front end bits. Make yourself a nice little fake-ish brawler and use it as a DD until the end of time (12/21/2012 or R3Vpocalypse, whichever comes first) and I bet you could still sell it for more than you have in it.

Perhaps not, but it'll still be worth something...even salvaged.
