I don't know about you guys, but I like computer gaming. Now, for Christmas I got an ATi Radeon 9800 Pro--its been giving me problems out the ass! I just wanted to say that even though the performance of that card was outstanding (while it worked), the drivers and all that stuff completely blow. They're so slow with fixing problems at ATi. Now I'm back to using my nVidia Ge-Force 5200 FX 128MB instead of my ATi while the ATi heads back up to the shop to be fixed.

ATI & "customer service" are mutually exclusive terms. I really like my All in Wonder cards (7500,9600,9800 PRO) but getting help has been a nightmare.

Is your ATI card distributed through ATI or is it something like a Sapphire? I have no problems with either Nvidia or ATI. Granted, they have some differences when it comes to certain games, but nowadays both companies make rock solid products.I retired my E30 for now...

My Mom bought it direct from ATi, just as I instructed her to do so. Apparently, users of XP (like me) have been having issues with the 9800 Pro. Basically, I can use my computer for all of five minutes until it kind of freezes. Then, the screen goes completely apeshit and when it comes back to reality, it displays an error message saying that "the card has been stuck in an endless loop and VPU recover blah blah blah..." Basically, the drivers are wrong or something--I have no clue and neither does ATi. But, a bunch of people have this problem. Some have tried sending it into ATi under warranty and they said it works fine after that! Only one way to find out!Originally posted by DSchultz325eIs your ATI card distributed through ATI or is it something like a Sapphire? I have no problems with either Nvidia or ATI.
