If you really want, you can disassemble the trans and replace the input shaft and layshaft bearings. But most people call that "Getrag rattle" (ZF320s do it too) and live with it.
Also, some report decreased input shaft rattle after putting Redline in their trans. You may want to give that a try (didn't work for me, but your mileage may vary).paint sucksComment

are you talking bout criv? we didn't rebuild his tranny, we just changed the input shaft bearing. It did not fix the "getrag rattle"Comment

are you trying to say the pilot bearing in the end of the crankshaft?
ohh, and I wouldn't ride too long on a really noisy trans.-- when it does decide to blow apart it WILL take out a bunch of stuff with it- that wouldn't have needed to be replaced if it was done before it comes apart.Comment
