I'd go for it.. swap in a 24v when you get back to the states, and have a sweet touring that everyone will be drooling over.

see the thing is shipping a car back thats younger than 25yrs will cost me tons. so unless i stumbe across something really really nice (ie. AC S3, Alpina B's) im gonna try to get something older than 83-ish, so for now i think this touring will be nice. a great car to travel europe in. the olny thing thats holding me back is when I think about going to the green monster in a turbo deisel wagon, ya know

there are e30s all over here in germany. my touring i found on the internet for 700euro. dont waste your time or money on that thing. I have a 2001 320d touring that is fully loaded and dont drive it cause it is so slow and underpowered. check out these sites: mobile.de or autoscout24.de you can even put in a limit of how far you want to drive to see one. and a word to the wise, i have lived over here for about 10 years now, DO NOT buy a car that is on base or right off base!!!!!!! you will get robbed! also dont buy a car from another soldier cause you know they did nothing to it but put gas in it.
