    Engine Clutch Fan Delete

So, I dunno if my gauge is wrong, but my car never gets as warm as it did when I had the A/C in it. And before my 2.7i. My needle rarely makes it far from outside the blue. With the AC stuff missing my radiator gets a lot! more air flow. I understand why its cooler...how much does this fan help out with temp? Also any benefits of deleting it? other than a cleaner engine bay?

Your thermostat has failed, I don't have an engine clutch fan (no room) and my engine never runs hot.

The thermostat should regulate the operating temp of your car, not the radiator/fan--at low temps the thermostat shouldn't be passing coolant through the radiator anyway. I'm with the others--stuck thermostat. Does it take longer to warm up as well?

          nope

My car warms up normally...my engine will say its cold even after a 2 hour drive. Worried it running colder, if it even is, could cause damage after a while.

            This sentence is contradicting.

Yep. But it's pretty obvious the thermostat is the clear solution.

Do it. It's not that hard of a job.

                  What's your actual name, Wh33lhop?

I tend to agree with you quite a bit and would hate to keep calling you Wh33lhop, its a pain to type.

you want to delete your fan, I actually want to go the other way, ditch the electric and use a standard clutch fan. lol

no, I'm just getting a bit tired of relying on the electric fan all the time. the clutch fan will keep the engine temps more stable, and it shouldn't make any difference in power. it might even be lighter..

plus I'm not cutting my subframe to make it fit. ;)

I ditched my clutch fan when I swapped to the M42 rad. I'm using a flexalite 16in pucher upfront where the AC stuff used to be. Works great
