Regret selling my blue Mr2T, lovely car and was a blast to drive. I did see it for sale some months later with major engine issues so perhaps was for the best. Building another now.
I don't think your mom appreciates the value of those modifications
wow didn't know this thread would be so well received
I guess if we've been around cars long enough we all have a story to tell. I'm so on the fence of selling my e36 m3. I have a solid offer for what I feel is a fair price for sale given mileage. There must be something that is making this a hard decision for me. All the other cars I've sold in the past I haven't had to think this hard or beat myself up. Truly a hard decision. It seems like my mood changes 2-3 a day. The fact that I have second kid coming and money going into the house for landscaping doesn't help its case...
My thoughts for keeping it is that if I were to get a "fun" fast car there's nothing I else I'd really prefer as of now. Anything newer than the e36 is too heavy and techy for me. As cars get heavier and loaded with tech I feel like I'm losing touch with the road feel which is why I'm an e30 man...as of now I'm leaning on keeping it...I'll have to this weekend to decide. The wife has been great dealing with my bipolar attitude with this...
Sold a very clean arctic/dove 99 low mileage E36 M3 like 6 years ago. All it had was a Dinan Exhaust, but it was by far the cleanest and nicest E36 I had ever seen. I later picked up another 99 in cosmos/magma a year ago but it drove nothing like my original. I doubt I will ever find another one like that.
