Nothing has gone into the oil since I have gotten the car. I did an oil change when I got it home and since then only 10w40 oil has gone in that cap. The car was also running within normal temp when it died. The head had 5 sets of studs holding the cam in. Now that I have been able to break that crap off there you can see where the head is broken. The broken part of the head, the two studs, and the cap are all gone. There is no real damage inside the head to show what might have happened to them and the car was running strong right up untill it quit.
The cap and studs you claim to be missing were never there.
The hydraulic 8v heads DO NOT have a cam cap or studs at that location.:-D
It looks to me that the car was running lean.

This man is correct about the " missing " cam journal cap, it was never there.
