You want the 525ix trans, not the transfercase. The center lock is electronic.

HEY THANKS FOR REPLY... I happen to have a 525ix pan front diff and 2 rebuilt transfercase's from my father in law in the uk working for Bmw I just dont have a transmition. wanted to know if I could mate it to a e30ix trans I have a fully built m3 engine I like to make it into a ix.

No, it isnt the same at all. Not sure why youd want a 525ix transfercase anyway.
