    Audi Coupe Quatro

    I'm curious what r3v thinks?

I have a friend who has like three of these, and I'm really tempted to pick one up.

They suck. Its another shitty VW. There is a reason why you dont see them around anymore like you do E30s. They were cool when they first came out but now that they are wicked fucking old, I would stay away from them.

I would take one in a heartbeat. This bodystyle (coupe and sedan) are my favorite bodystyle Audi.

Heavy and poorly balanced, but cool. Parts prices are pretty high (even compared to BMW). OK for a street car, as long as you can find a clean example that needs little/no work.

Before I got my e30, I was strongly considering like a 1990-1994 90' Quattro Sedan. There were a bunch of them for sale in my area for a good price, and I'm a big AWD fan. After doing a bunch of research, and reading a collection of reviews from owners, I found the the consensus was that they're great cars up intil about 60,000 miles. then they start to fall apart. Which is very early, for any German car.
Plus, the quattros get like 17-22 MPG, which is significantly less than a 325ix.

Stick to the BMW. 400,000 miles, and the cars are just hitting pubery

i hate to tell you, but you don't see lots of coupe quattros because they sold in smaller numbers (less than 700 in the US) than e30's, therefore making them more collectible than the e30 is, the e30 was "cool" when it first came out, is "wicked fucking old" as well (they are born of the same era), and if i follow your logic, one should stay away from e30's for those reasons. i didn't know "old" was a reason to stay away from cars, hmmm...
