    cant lock doors FUCK!!!

So i'm in my mtech on a roadtrip. Just got to my hotel for the night and discover I cant freaking lock my doors or trunk. I cant physically push the locks down either. Not sure whats going on? Only thing unusual that happened is fuse that supplies the drivers rear light blew. And I couldnt activate the antitheft code on the OBC.

can you lock the doors from the inside when they are closed? If so try holding the handles up from the outside and pushing down lock at the same time. Errrr then you might get locked out..........good luck

I'm not sure but there might be something up with the central locking system.

There's lock controller under your drivers side front speaker that has a sensor in it. In the event of a rollover, the sensor will unlock all of the doors and keep them permanently unlocked. Maybe it died or just got fucked up? Hopefully it's not that. Will the key still turn?

Give it a few tries. The same thing happened to me once and after opening and closing the doors a couple of times it worked again.

There was one time where nothing happened, so I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and it worked.

^^I tried the above and nothing.

I have to say this is the weirdest problem. I can turn the drivers/passengers locks but it doesnt lock. I cant turn the trunk lock so I cant lock my valuables in the trunk. Sucks since i'm on a road trip at the moment.

I also cant activate my antitheft function on my obc.

THink this is a central lock module malfunction?

That sucks. e30 locks are terrible. Mine have always been a bit glitchy. Try again, because the same thing happened to my car and it started working again after a few tries.

don't waste your money...it's not the lock cylinder. Something with your central locking control module. I remember I had a similar problem when my car was in deadbolt and tried to unlock my trunk the locks would jump and my passenger door would be partially unlocked. I could lift up on the handle and open it. I changed my control module and now it works fine. I would start with that first. Somebody's got one on here I'm sure for a few bucks.

Location: behind the driver speaker cover. once off and the speaker is out you'll have to lift a small plastic panel out - if it is there - and undo 2 screws holding the plate in which holds the control module and door light relay.
you may have to bugger with it a bit to get it out but that's about it.

What happens when you try and lock the car from the trunk?
