this weekend I picked up my new keys from the dealer and they don't work  We double checked the VIN# and the keys and everything. The previous owner of my car must have lost their keys and replaced everything....ignition, door locks, trunk lock.....

    Now I'm in the hunt for the whole lock set... Part # 51 21 1 904 727

    SOLD: My feature http://www.stanceworks.com/2012/04/a...ss-bmw-e30-m3/

I need to replace my key, it isnt in one piece anymore, I guess for whatever reason the previous owner decided to take the key apart and leave everything out and put in a fat stack of tape and call it a day, My key is really thick and really worn, and has the stamped logo, I would mind the upgrade to the one with the nice emblem and doing the led conversion I have a small LED light on my keychain now that will just about burn your damn retinas out.

will those uber cool flip uncut keys off eBay work for our cars? I really want to get one of those. The only keys I received from the previous owner were the two dinky non lighted ones.

just went to my local BMW dealership 26.10 for a new key to an 84 325e, my key is really worn most of the key is copper/gold looking, but I am going to do the LED mod even if I go and get a new key

I'm shocked at the low prices you guys have been getting from the dealerships. A while ago, I lost the keys to my brother's old Acura integra, so I had to get a new one made at the dealership. It cost me over $40. I always thought that BMW would cost more than pretty much most brands. I guess not...

I'm asking the same question, anyone have an answer? What would be even more badass was if you could get your keyless entry to work with those keys.

Those flip keys are freakin awesome, for 20-30 buck for a lighted flip key I think that I might do that, They say that their might be some quality issues like sticking on the first couple times. But they look sweet and some have a red LED. They have them for the E30 and E36.

yeah there are some nice flip keys on ebay that are compatible with E30s and some other newer/modern type keys on ebay not much. Lol i got my plain replacement keys for free...I worked at a place who didn't use their key machine so i learned how and we had walls of keys so......i have couple copies.
