RX7 calipers installed, experiencing something strange !

    i'm using

    -Fc calipers
    -hawk hps pads
-VW rotors with inlet diameter bored to 66mm
    -15mm H&R wheels spacers
    -15" BBS wheels

all has been perfectly installed and checked 30 times

the problem is bad sound comming from the wheels area, when i put a strong press on the pedal, with hard braking.

looks like something is grinding while the wheels are spining to stop the car on HARD braking, maybe pads to rotors, but there is no real feedback neither on the steering wheel or the brake pedal.

there is a lot of space between calipers and wheels. Wheels spacers are chamfered to pass the 66mm hub diameter ( since the VW rotor is thinner ).

    help

you put rx7 calipers on a vw then posted for help on a bmw board? i don't get it. best thing to do is have someone drive it and you stand outside of the car and listen.
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

          Pictures? ;-)

Could well be the simple noise of the friction between pads and rotors. Some pads will emit a grinding noise. Unless you have fitted your pads in reverse...

Ya my brake pads emit a noticeable amount of noise as well.

Nop. I meant pads flipped, and backing plate rubbing on disc. Don't laugh. I've seen it.

strange, no feeling in the brake pedal. Maybe something in the steering, but not really noticable ( manual rack steering)

i'v tried to grind the calipers where there is the less space with the wheels, with no succes. The noise is always here.

I'v seen there is a lubricant, in the pads box " to silence braking noise " applying it on the rear of the pads.

                  i'll try tomorow

                          Problem solved !!

it needed some oil on the wheels bolts ( conical surface ), to finnaly get a true 100Nm torquing.
