Okay to drive on three lugs?

Somehow I misplaced on lug nut, so the DS front is on three. Any bad experiences driving with a missing lug nut?

You can do it for a little, but please only run 3 lugs to drive to the autoparts store or wrecking yard

It doesn't make sense not to get one more lug bolt asap. Should be easy and cheap.

3 bolts doing the job of 4.
                Uneven pressure on the hub.

Don't try your luck. Buy a fourth lug ASAP. ;-)
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

you should be fine even on one lug. I've been running a one lug swap for years now, weight reduction yo

I didn't know they are available at auto parts stores - I thought this was a dealer-only part. I just picked one up at AZ ($3). I took the wife's car... it's cool driving a stock E30 for a change.

you can do it long enough to get to a parts store, but don't push further. I had a stud break off at the track, had no choice but to drive around (lucky there were several parts stores close to the track). Ended up finding 3, bought them for 75 cents (were sitting on the back shelf of a tire shop all dusty). glad I bought all 3 too because a second stud let go the very next session. and call around first because most places will only have ball seats (VW) instead of cone.

how can they be torqued right if you're missing one? that would be physically impossible to do. the things you post sometimes..

Better off with 2 so at least it would be evenly balanced

Yeah definitely, 4 is preferable obviously but 2 is in balance, and lower weight. 0 is the logical next step but China hasn't engineered a solution yet be patient.

I'm not proud of this, but I drove up to Sacramento from San Diego on 3 lugs in my first e30 when I was a much younger lad. I had just dropped it w/ an h&r cup kit and that made 1 lug on each side rub for some reason. Again, not proud and I'm not recommending anyone try this... but I did it.
