    If you have a 318 then you can hit the nut from the front of the car with a 3/8 wrench and a 22mm socket. On a 325 i use a long 22mm ratcheting box wrench, have the bend face downward, disconnect the loli from the body, remove the small heatshield too and you can get enough room that way.

      ^that sounds like alot more work than it should be on the 325. just get a ratcheting wrench and it is ridiculously simple.

        That inner ball joint was a bitch for me too. I think I unbolted the engine mounts and lifted it with a jack, but I'm not sure about that. Sounds like the O2 socket would be better.

            Just drop the subframe. With a jack under the oil pan of course. It's 4 bolts and then you can get in there easy.

              Try removing the engine, getting those LCA bolts and installing an M50. Worked for me.
