lol.. but in times like this not many people just get in and drive. It is crazy seeing some people doing the things they do. I saw a guy shaving and I thought to myself are ya kiddin me? Many accidents are caused by people doing things that were never intended to be done in the car, and the majority are probably women. I know some pretty ditzy girls that I would hate to be behind.

Leave it to a girl to miss an obvious point. The problem isn't how great you think you are at multitasking while driving, the problem IS the multitasking while driving. Just drive. There's no "typical things" to do while driving.

People who put driving at number 15 on the list of things to do while driving should not be on the road, period.

All of my EXes and current woman text ALL day while driving. I think driving stick would solve a lot of issues. I take their phones when I am with them.

Plus it would make them pay more mind to the road and not just gas and go with half a brain. It is a 2,700lb+ killing machine in the wrong hands.

Out of the 350 cars at our dealership there are maybe 15 cars with a manual, there are salesmen who ask me to grab cars for them.

I'm glad to see there are some passionate folks in here when it comes to driving a car with a manual gearbox. I learned to drive in a friends' old Toyota Corolla with a 4-speed stick shift. Didn't take long to get the hang of it. Once I got my license, I eventually got my first car - it too was a manual (66' VW Bug). All told I have owned 10 cars since I began driving and EVERY SINGLE ONE has been a manual gearbox. My future cars will follow this pattern.

the worst part of driving an automatic after only driving manuals for a while is my clutch foot automatically hammering the brake pedal every time my mind thinks I need to shift. I also hate that the car starts moving as soon as it's in gear.
