I never understood this. I can understand a college sticker because you want everyone to know how much you overpaid for you or your kids' education. But seriously who the fuck cares if you've ever been to "OBX" or "CC." Maybe its only around here I see it. Someone explain.

Agreed. I don't understand stickers on cars in general. Unless you are representing for your own company, or a friends company..something you actually have involvement in.
But all these losers that put giant "Volcom" symbols on their car, or big "Monster Energy drink" symbols...WHY? I tend to think that its just a conformist thing. You get a car, and you have to put a sticker on it like everyone else to feel cool.

My dad told me,back in the day 60's/70's. Dont advertise stickers for something you dont have on your car (car parts- holley/isky cams/air lift/lakewood/edlebrock etc... ). Websites and stuff (R3V)like that i can see though.;)

Truth... conformist thing for all the people with HUGE stickers of companies on their car. Some say they like the drink/brand/whatever. Dumb excuse.
Only stickers I have are A BMWCCA sticker, BMW 2002 car club of Colombia sticker, and a laguna seca sticker.. all of which I support. But all the NOTW, Famous stickers, etc bug the shit out of me.

Meh, you're overthinking it. Theyre fun, cheap and removable. Monster stickers and even location stickers are lame, but there are worthwile ones out there.

I think it's because clearly they are getting paid to advertise for something...
