"The Camry is an appliance, not a car. It attracts folks who have the same regard for driving that they have for washing dishes,
i.e. it's a necessary but somewhat unpleasant chore and they want something to make the task a little easier and insulate them from the process." - my friend, Número Veintiséis

as already mentioned. Rust on the rear valence, and behind the front wheel wells, battery tray, and spare tire hole. Also ask when the timing chain tensioner was last replaced, check for a steady idle at 800 RPM and check that when you rev the engine is drops and holds at 800, and doesn't dip or fluctuate at all. Check underneath the car and have a look at the tranny, diff, and bottom of the engine and look for sweating, or dripping of fluids. Also look at the general condition of the exhaust. And then go through all the interior functions like check the temp sensor (not an expensive fix at all Georgegraves sells them for like $12), OBC functions, power mirrors, windshield wipers, heat, A/C, all that shit make sure it all works, check the seats, and make sure they slide okay, and most importantly ask alot of questions about the car...the more background info you can get on it the better. Ask about previous maintenance records, what shop he took it to, any accidents, break ins, that sort of thing.
Then, ENJOY!
