Bullshit. Working on your cars to keep them running hardly qualifies you to make the assessment of "appreciating" your car more than people that buy them in already great condition. I know I appreciated the opportunity to own an M5, bought and paid for by myself, more than most people here that change their oil and thermostats The act of saving up, researching, and finally being able to pull the trigger on the car you've wanted speaks volumes about how much you should appreciate your car.

Being that I bought mine as a project car for $3400, I haven't run into anything I wasn't expecting. My previous experience with e36s wasn't bad though, my 328is was reliable and fun to drive. Every car has issues though, I knew that before buying the //M.

LOL. ORRRR, unlike most new people here, I utilize the search button to it's fullest potential. I searched AC Schnitzer to see what the pedals looked like in the e30 and how they compliment the interior, and that thread was one of the first, and definitely the funniest I found.

Clearly you are not an e30 enthusiast, just a beater driver and should sell your car and buy an appliance vehicle. i have rebuilt the entire drive train and suspension on my ES(everything!). And I’m about/have the parts, to do the same to my mtech2 vert.
