The only major reference provided was the gallery portion of this website. That and I spent alot of time on the phone, emails, and then of course the day I was at the shop talking with Terry.

It not hard to seperate people who know what they are doing, and can learn/adapt quickly from those that are just not useful.
Yeah, it'd be kind of hard to believe that you were bullshitting when you have made such a public record of what you have been able to do and learn about these cars. What a resume the site and board are for you!

Of course, if Terry looked at it closely, he'd also see what a grouch you are!!!!! :P (J/K).

Good luck with it. Glad to see you aren't starting out as floor sweeper. Getting to do what you love for pay is a great thing. Not too many people truly get to do that.

Too bad most people around here are way too broke to be good sources of future business for them!!!!!

Welcome to Texas! 8) Austin is pretty laid back and easy going. I hope you enjoy living here.

Congrats on the new job. It is sad to see you leaving the PNW though. Go get Texas as hot on the E30 as the PNW is. Again, congrats on the new job and have a safe move.

            My sentiments exactly...

I'm sure you'll do some kick-ass work for them though.

I've found a pretty nice apartment in South Austin, about 5-8mins from work. Great complex, and very nice people. Also a gated community, and covered parking/garage for my car. Heh and no nasty apartment sized speed bumps!

I've very happy about the life change, and going to a job I love. I will miss the PNW for sure, but I can always go back and visit.

did you have to give them a drivers abstract? if your insurance was thinking about dropping you i cant imagine what the shop would have to pay for insurance having you work there....

                hope it all works out

The insurance situation is fine. My agent has been busy ALL WEEK with calls from shitloads of people that got these letters. No one is being dropped until she has a chance to sit down and talk with everyone affected.

Either way I will almost certainly already be in Austin, and on my own insurance by the time my coverage with State Farm would expire or they could drop me.

Of course I already talked to you, but officially then: Congratulations on the job! You better bring some t-shirts, shorts and sandals, 'cuz Texas is HOT! Leave those sweaters behind at the Salvation Army or something, you won't be needing them.

                              nice.

word of advice, you'd probably be better off taking the 5 south to san diego, then taking the 8 east instead of taking 10 east from LA. it'll be a lot less bound up, plus the road is way more fun.
