        He said they did a lot of work on the front end awhile back go and they replaced the bushings. It needs an alignment and a new steering rack. The current is leaking. Maybe I should just offer him like 1400 and see if he takes it.

          What kinda work? Sounds like some half-assed shit if they either (a) didn't do an alignment or (b) it already needs another one.

          From the video alone you can tell the car has been driven hard and douche-like. Making an offer before you see the car in person is always a bad idea.

            so it has a cracked dash, the driver's seat needs at least 1 new bolster, and its missing fogs/deletes.

              If you're looking for a perfect 318is, this obviously isn't the one. If you want to work on your car and progressively make it "perfect" then offer him less and take it. If the car isn't rust ridden and no electrical problems, and you can live with no AC, then why not take it? Replace the steering rack, get rid of the airbag wheel, align it, and drive the hell out of it.
