    Neighborhood waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles

There is an effing cat that has taken to sleeping on top of my vert. Every morning I find cat hair on my top and muddy foot prints on my hood. How can I deter him short of animal cruelty? I have not seen him during the day so I can't track down the owner.

lmao I was in the same exact situation with my vert last winter. it would rest on the top and would scratch the cloth. the vert was in my garage so the cat would hide somewhere in there. one day I finally got to see him in there so i chased him and eventually got out of the garage. It never came back. Rats would also chill in my engine bay. found lots of rat shit in it when i was replacing the timing belt.

Airsoft gun. Non-lethal, and once it's taken a few hits, it will quickly learn not to get up there.

Beyond that, there's not really much you can do.

I think it could be worse. ;) Classic thread from over on volvospeed. Luckily, that hasn't happened to any of my volvos yet.

My dad had an old 240z he was restoring, went out to start it one day and heard a cat screaming under the hood. Apparently, it was the neighbor's cat and it got cut up pretty bad. Never saw it again, I guess it learned it's lesson.

Cayenne pepper, spread it around the entire top and the cat will sniff it before settling down for a snooze. The cat will probably not find that spot as hospitable as it once was.

Now that's good. That will probably work.

Thats funny, my cat climbs on and in my car all the time. No scratches or anything, sure a few footprints surely not enough to both me. I dont have a vert though.
