I'd ALWAYS wanted an e30 since I was a little kid, found mine was on the lot (import yard from japan) for $8500. Didn't pay that but swapped my Toyota Hilux 4x4. Worth every cent, I have my dream car =D

Yeah, we've all seen some ridiculously priced cars but so what? if someone wants it bad enough, they'll buy it. Better to start with a high price, than a low one as a seller. Besides you might just find someone who has been looking for a long time for exactly what you have.

Also, did the OP say it was to be a track car? Not everyone wants to build a track car.

Would not be using it for a track car, just a daily. Thanks to all for your input. After a lot of thought, I'm going to wait and look for a pre-swapped slicktop coupe. Too hard to try to sell a sedan when I'm bored with it, even if it's nice.

*shrug* Really, the difference between paying $2k for an E30 and $4k is negligible. Sight unseen is an issue, though. You're going to have to go over it carefully when you get there.
