the spring in the steering wheel on the horn button?
learning to work on my own car has been the most rewarding part of owning e30s. i know that the job is being done properly with quality parts and i get to see whats going on in my car.

Airbag car? He prob meant the clockspring. They can be really pricey, can't recall if the E30 even uses one for the horn, if so, get a used one from the yard.Comment

As I was reading, I was about to mock everyone, call them retards, then tell them to look up the labor for the clock spring. It includes an alignment.Comment

It's not the "no-horn" situation I'd worry about, it's the fact that the clock spring also provides connection for the Air Bag.Comment

I shorted the horn in my truck on my 18th birthday. It's been that way ever since. I only miss my horn when there are asian people driving around me.

Hmmmm I have had two 1988 325 ixs so far and I was able to buy both control arms from BMA parts for @ $520 and also both bushings for about $40 and it took a friend an me about 1.5 hours to replace them on a lift The most dificult time comsuming part was replacing the rear bushings since we did not have a really good press .....Comment
