The owner must be loaded because he is amazingly calm. I would have went ape shit myself and I "only" have an E30 M3. The tuner has got to be put out of business after this.
"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Oh yeah he will, no way anybody else will be dumb enough to let him touch their car after this.

That's what insurance is for. Not everyone has a hundred thousand dollars just kicking around in an emergency fund to pay for a damaged car.

Oh god, at first I thought it was one of the newer GT40's, I didn't know it was the original. That's some major horse shit right there.

I thought this would be about some ass hat that was renting a roll up door shop and some kid with a escort GT wanted to spend his birthday money.

Oh shit, I didn't know they gave the newer GT's the super awesome old school paint job.

Now I don't care as much.

just me but i wouldn't drive some ones car like a ass hat if i couldn't afford to buy it.its one thing if its a mishap in the shop and yes his insurance could cover it.the insurance of the shop not the guy who entrusted his car with them.

That's bad, really bad. That "business owner" got in WAY over his head and didn't know what to do.

Lets see...who do you think will be able to afford the better lawyer? The shop owner? Or the guy who owns a gt40?

Thats a sticky situation, in general I think if a car is wrecked while at a shop it is covered by the car owners insurance policy. Granted if the mechanic is being reckless thats fucked up, but I wouldn't say they are obligated to pay for the car out of pocket, as most could not do that. It's just a shitty situation all around.
My boss wrecked a car that He had put a motor in years ago, it was not his fault at all but I'm pretty sure the owners insurance covered it.
