^Well thats good. Cause the OP wanted to know about E28 spoilers.

You guys should talk about e30 m3 rear spoilers too, just to confuse the ever-living piss out of me.

Were talking about e28 mtechs here, not e30 is wings...those are a dime a dozen. Btw, most recent e28 'is' spoiler posted was $175. I just shopped for one of these(well, mt1). Unless we're talking apples and oranges here, which I don't think we are because that's the e28 wing everyone wants, I am correct.

.......................................E28 spoliers will work on e30's. The curve isnt exactly the same but drill and install and have fun.;)

Ok. I infer from the comments that there is a e30 spoiler that looks like the e28 spoiler, but made for the iS? WTF. Now Im confused.

You sayin a e28 spoiler, the one that has a lot of black rubber but a painted section as well, does not fit right. Or easily? And that there is one just like it made for e30, that is a complete different part number?

Piss... someone set me straight here!!!! or Ill just get a iS front lip and spoiler and hope they look ok with my BBS high-rise skirts.

It will fit 'well' but it won't fit 100% perfect. Its not bad enough to where you'll be hating life, but if you're a completely anal person, then you won't be absolutely satisfied.

Besides, Teaguer has one for sale & he's local. You should buy his and install it on your car. If you don't like it, just get an e30is spoiler & sell the e28 one. I'm certain you won't lose any money in trying it out.

Take a look at this pic of an e30 with an e28is spoiler, note how it goes just over the trunk line on the sides. It will not interfere with opening & closing.

the e28 mt1 rear lip just hangs over the deck lid more. so what..?

i prefer it over the e30 one anyway, and its cheaper.

From what I understand the studs line up with the curved part of our trunk lid. Is this correct?

Would it still have fitment issues if you cut the studs off and mount it with that heavy duty 3M double stick tape? Because that's how I plan on mounting mine.

Wondering about that myself. Sounds like it would work. Anyone do this??

The spoilers doesn't exactly follow the curve from front to back - there is a small gap. Because of that, and it's heft, you'll really want the clamping force that bolts would provide.
