Well don't yank the engine just yet. I'd make sure everything is properly torqued to begin with. Make sure it's not leaking down from somewhere else.

true true. I torqued everything to spec so i cant see where i went wrong there.
Does anyone have any experience with this stuff? I have never used it because I was always told to shy away from it. Now that Im dealing with leaks ON A BRAND NEW ENGINE!!! maybe I should have considered coating my timing case and oil pan gaskets before installing??

you'll need some kind of thread sealant on those buggers
What about the gasket on the rear main seal housing? and it could also be your oil pan gasket... check the head for any leaking, hopefully its not dripping down from the top?
maybe the rear main seal was slightly cockeyed in the hole when you were pressin it in?
edit...i gave up trying to seal an old/refreshed/rebuilt engine with new gaskets. I've had shitty luck with all the product on the market. Using gasket caulk works wonders when used right. especially in turbo engines, cause they essentially "glue" things together.
