Vintage applies to cars that are 25 years and older. In racing, it applies to the chassis year. Meaning that e30s, having started in 1983 (27 years old), indeed are considered vintage. To be strict, only the first generation e30s should be considered vintage as there was a face lift in 1988.

The e30 M3 is considered vintage as of 2011 as the first chassis year was 1986.
