Up close and personal with an E60 M5

First off no I didn't get to drive it..but I at least got to touch/sit in one...

Was taking some pictures of some moutains in the outskirts of Germany and heard this quick downshift and this rumble...as I turned around I saw the tail end of an E60 M5. We quickly jumped in the VW Phaeton 4.2L Rental car and gave chase.

15 min later he pulled into a gas station, owner was like 25.. he's had it a month..and basically shot the shit with us for 20 min.

First off, Here is a video of him revving it, it sounds BADASS in person, that V10 really has a nice note to it.

    And here are the pictures

Anyway, thought you guys would like this :)

That car does absolutely nothing for me at all.

The engine may have 2 more cylinders, but it's the same displacement as the old M5 lump, has 100 more hp and the same amount of torque.
Add to the fact that it would look right at home in a Pontiac showroom.

Give me an E34 or E39 M5 anyday.

              I know they've reviewed an M6 or 6 Series. Don't remember if I've seen one with a M5 yet.

Looks like your having a grand time over there James. Live it up.

That rear end is awesome, especially the exhaust. E60's are some of the hottest cars on the road these days.

I instantly disliked the looks of the new 5's when I saw the spy shots and them posted in magazines, but it was when I went and looked at some 545's in person and saw them on the road next to me that changed my mind. I think its like a beautiful piece of art in person, those headlights and taillights are amazing and the lines are much more attractive when in person.

Good, a few more Bangleites on here to agree with. I have yet to see the new 3 in person, but the 5, 6, and 7s are all hot!!!

My local dealer has a ton of E90's, they look better in person as well. Although I don't like the base model much, the 330i with the sport package and 18" rims similar to the new 6er's rims is very nice.
