Yours ain't no spring chicken either, TJ :) Yours is at least 15 years old... (we're in the 06 model year). You just don't have so many miles.

I'm at 286K and calling it a day. Got another beater with 200K on it, gonna drive that, strip the euro to the bone, and get it painted, then put it back together with a different heart beating under the hood...

You do know that's normal on an M20, right?
ive heard/read, but my ticking seems a bit too loud. but i have yet to adjust my valves. maybe thats it. i will video tape it one day, so you all can hear the notorious tick.

so adjust your valves... that's the only thing it could be, unless you ran it without oil.

250k on the ix, and working on its second life. Will definitely see 300k.
Wife's old 528e has 275k with a broken Odometer and had new tires when it was broken and now the tires are bald, so say 325k and still doesn't sweat going 85mph all day long.

I believe I have one of the youngest models here on the forums.

just broke 100k, and it's only 13/14 years old

so im still in the lead for the most miles? at least on the board. That is sad. I finally win something only because my car has more miles than it takes to get to the moon.

400,000km's doesn't burn oil and original clutch, now granted the clutch slips a little at the track but i'm going to completley burn it before a new one goes in.
