    E30 Vs. E28

So I did a quick search, but couldn't find anything, still trying to figure it out. Why is it that the 3 series, the "bottom of the line" BMW, is ranging, in decent condition, around 2-3K whereas an e28 in the same condition is 1-1.5K? Any thoughts? Obviously the 3 is more sporty, but The 5 had this! lol

        Because nobody wants the E28?

except for sideways-hat-wearing-douchebags who want to lower them until they scrape the ground and run $7,000 worth of wheels on a $100 car. ;)

I wouldn't go that far! There are quite a number of E30 "stance-a$$es" doing the same thing. Sedans usually don't have the interest or resale value that coupes do. The two are so very similar mechanically, with the E28 having more room for passengers or "stuff." I owned an E30 for 18 years and have had E28s for 14, and love them both. Get over to http://www.mye28.com/ if you need more info.

Don't get me wrong, I like the E28. It's just quite obvious why they go for less than an E30 - the demand is lower and the market is smaller. Nobody who wants luxury cares if the E28 was high end in 1984 - they want to know if it will synch up to their iphone and update their facebook page. :p

One reason is that the E28 s are all sedans while the E30s are sedans, coupes and convets.

I love my e30s, but I am seeing e28s for sale local and I WANT ONE! Just a lowish DD that is not rough like my e30. I want that m5 in the for sale section on here. So sexy!

Because the Jews owned the E28s and the Jews killed Jesus.

I WILL own an E28 one day. Official. There, maybe that increased demand will help drive the prices up!
