e28 never seems as sporty or quick as e30. Owned both, only have the e30 now

these are just assumptions, and may be wrong:
im sure not as many e28s were sold, making them harder to find after 20 years.
id imagine less 'enthusiasts' bought them since they were the bigger, sedan cruiser.
this makes them no less awesome. http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...81&postcount=1
i'd love to own an e28 for an everyday car.

according to wikipedia, there were 2,339,520 e30's produced, vs only 722,328 e28's. that is a BIG difference.
but, it just means that e28's are almost rare in comparison to e30's.Originally posted by BillBraskyThat's like Vlad challenging Chip Foose to a car painting contest.Originally posted by acolella76i'm pretty sure 'Phillis' is short for syphilis

just sold my '87 535i. tuned I was getting an average of 13mpg city. 23 highway. Replaced everything I could trying to get better mileage. But when it came down to it, It was just too heavy. Damn power seats.
I absolutely love the feel of my e30. Don't get me wrong, I adored my e28 too, but for me I felt too limousiney. Ultimately I made the choice, and even went for the eta to increase my fuel economy even more. I don't really care about speed and with the torque I'm more then happy.
Maybe when/if gas prices go down some, or I get an amazing job, I'd love to own a 4dr stroker project and maybe use an e28, but I gotta make ends meet and we're almost to 5$ a gallon here in chicago.
