thats a difference of 20hp. cams, maf, and a tune will get you easily past that. cheaper and easier too.
Exactly. M50 has so much more potential.

You are 100% wrong on this, it has 20 more base HP then the b25 motor and shit load more than the b27. Also it is DOHC and with low boost you can nail 300+ EASY.

For the money these motors can be had at there is no reason to knock them.

I bought my E36 donor car without DME for $300. Sold more than that in parts for it. To have a newer, DOHC engine for the price of a DME, E34 pan and an exhaust, you'd be stupid to say its not worth it.

I think he is asking what is easiest to swap, which would be the m30 I think.

I think you should finish that LS1 before starting another project. I know it is a lot of work and takes a lot of time, but it will take even more time if you start something else. In all likelihood, it may never get finished. Don't give up!

atleast someone one here has a heart. it's easy to bash someone when there not standing in front of you (anyway), the whole reason i asked was because winter is approaching and i didn't plan on having the ls1 swap fully completed until summer 2011 (engine is bolted in but nothing is connected). I have access to 95 m3, 98 540i, & a m70 sitting on a pallet as we speak (well type/read). Just wanted to do something kinda quick to whip around in to car shows & the track. out of the 3 listed which one can i have the least amount of trouble doing here at home in my backyard over a weekend?

Out of those 3 you have access to go with the s50 in the m3, but you need a bunch of stuff from an e34 like the oil pan etc. to fit it in an e30.

Apparently the m30 is the easiest swap but I don't know anything about the swap, but read up on it if you're interested...

Heres how to have an informed question--research first if details are unclear the ask for the clarification.

pix or didnt happen--means to show your work-make a build thread-post a shitty cell phone pic as a teaser-

                        kids are your own fault

and you can hump in an e30

an that bar on the right, it scrolls down and reveals so much more info, try it on the main page and you will be amazed at what you find
