Possible supercharging idea.....FI gurus, opinions please
Sorry to be off topic, but does anyone know what strut bar that car has? I'm really hoping that it's not custom cause that is the only non-hinged bar I've seen for the M42.
those dual bar hartge style ones fit too:
actually, lookn at this pic, im wondering if it would foul on a normal intake manifold tho.
To answer this question it's very simple. Yes you can. Do you want to? No. Might as well take a Ford Thunderbird super charger and put it on a 2002 engine. That can't be done, right....
Your best bet is to do some research as to what you want and how much money you want to spend...
It will be very expensive, at least if you want to do it the right way.
I'm not trying to be a dick, but there is a lot of this 'turbo-ing" crap on this bored and a lot (not saying you) of people believe it's a slap it on deal.
Rather go with a M40 N/A beast... If it was my choice....
Actually a early 318 with a M20 'turbo' engine, if you must have FI.
Michael,
All is cool... however I would just like to say that I never actually said that this idea was for me and all I that I initially posted for was to simply help a fellow R3V member by presenting them with an example of a s/c E30 and what "can" be acheived with the right $$$, time and know-how when going the FI route,
Oh, trust me, i know the ins and outs, and realize all the work put into it. I have plenty of friends that say, "oh man, im turboing my civic, and its gonna run 25lbs of boost, and its only gonna cost $2000 parts and labor" and i laugh and tell them there gonna have to upgrade there internals, and they say, "oh yeah, well for my interior im gonna get a shift knob" you get the point, im not retarded and realize these projects take lots of time money and fabrication.
