Yeah those MHW Smokes are nice but really price, but yeah i did my tails with the candy apple red also. I found a nice write-up on it. But .... shahe did you smoke those tails yourself?


Cause i was thinking of testing some Clear-Coat type paint with black. Kinda like the candy apple red.

Since my car is black having smoked wouldn't be too bad at all... but having all red on the early model tails are just too nice...especially for a $7 Mod haha

Hmmm also can someone recommend the type of sand paper to use to polish it up a bit. or clean up the tails if it even exists? i just remember reading the post for that.

sean- you will have to check to make sure the paints are compatible. It shouldnt be a problem as I have sprayed my clear over regular spray can jobies. Someone suggested mixing black with the clear to tint. Never tried it so im not sure how it would turn out. But you may be able to do both red and smoked this way.

No, no..it's not that at all. In fact I do like it. So much so that I did the same thing on my car last summer. I was just struck by the similarities in our cars (although I'm still envious of your paint). We just have good taste. 8)
