I was noticing that as well. First I saw Bryson's euro plate on the front of a red M3 in his sig, then saw Bryson's bronzit M50 in IL DUCE's sig. Some people aren't telling... :D

Oh, and by the way, this thread is awesome.

Interesting story behind that photo, actually. That car was wrecked while drifting. I later bought it, swapped the engine and tranny into my first E30, the bronzit, and subsequently totalled it 3 weeks later, around a corner I was pushing too hard on.

I have 255's on the rear of my e36, i should be fucking unstopable. Shit, if i got in an f1 car i'd be way, way beyond good. I mean they have like 300's! but damn, those 225's are fuh rhaz3e!

honestly, think about that statement. I run 225's on my m3, but that extra few inches of rubber isn't going to do shit for you OR me if you make a mistake at 80 mph hangin it on a freeway interchange.
i think you dumbasses misinterpreted me pretty badly.

the statement i made was that the tires i run have an envelope wider than i tend to drive daily. nothing more. the interchanges i speak of in phoenix are all banked wide sweepers- if you saw them you'd probably laugh at me and say "i could take them at 100, no sweat".

had my e30 since october of 2003, longer than you've been on this site- and not a scratch on it- so we'll just see who r3vs first, kiddo.

funny how charlie and i basically said the same thing- "grip, not slide"- and everyone lines up to suck his dick while i catch a bucket of shit.

funny also how someone who's treated as "knowledgable" around here said there isn't room for 255s on the back of an e36- where were you then, you fucking hypocrite?

i'm tired of arguing with children, if i weren't so goddamned bored at work i wouldn't even come here anymore.

Quick question for you: When you finally start to lose it in a corner, what do you do?
                define "lose it".
                push: left-foot brake
                pull: countersteer and modulate throttle
No, you mis-understood MY post - but I may have also done the same with my interpretation of yours.

I've seen the corners in Phoenix, and you're right, many of us probably could.

No, i have 255's on the rear of my e36. My point is i do not view the 255's as giving me some serious advatage in the handling of my car, or the overal performance of the vehicle. I would rather NOT have 255's on the car, but it was a situation that left me with that being one of the few tires anywhere near the right size that would work on short notice.

I've owned my e30 since January of 2001.

Based on your initial post, you suggested that 225's gave you a cushion of performance that would at least help ensure more than enough performance to adequately conquer your local highways/freeways/ect. My point is, and was, that simply suggesting that having 225's gives you a new lease on driving life is a statement that is really off target.

I appologize for confusion, but now you know where my comments come from.

Man, oh man. Haven't seen a thread this heated in a long time ;) Jordan must be quite busy in his new home. Either that or he's just sitting back and enjoying the show :)

I don't want to take anything to PM. I don't have a personal issue with you, nor do I feel like arguing over something like drifting. You have your opinion, I have mine. It's the attitude and mentality you drifters seem to bring with you to this board that drifting is actually a respectable way to drive around a fucking parking lot, and when you r3v under a semi "Fast and the Furious" style, you expect anything other than sheer ridicule.

Does it suck that you wrecked your E30? Of course, but like you said, you don't care, you'll get another one. So I won't give you any sympathy, because you have absolutely no remose for a decent and running E30, something some board members will love to have.

90% of the world thinks grip and better lap speeds are the true measure of a race car. The rest of you think sliding your ass end around and heel toeing into curbs and trailers is where the true talent lies.

I'm not saying you have to be with the majority, but some things aren't a matter of opinion. How well you can slide your ass end isn't a spectacular achievement. Keeping it from doing so is.

Said with all of the stereotypical inferences normally associated with such things, I assume?

I guess so. However I worked for my car and I paid for most of it. I have been given certain things from others but I never asked for help, although I was always greatful. I am just of the opinion that anyone that will love to have an e30 can, it's just a matter of busting their ass for it.

I parted out an '87 325iS for money, I work at the local Subway, and whenever I can I do shitjobs for my father for money.... not to mention the taxi service for friends that always end up being my gas money for the week.

You however (and most people here) do look at drifting with a bit of cynicism. I cant blame you because you hate the sport, but alas.... I will not be the one to force this down your throat. You're happy with your opinion, why change it.

Also, ridicule all you want, however I ask that you don't compare me to "Fast and the Furious". It really has nothing to do with each other (in fact it's quite the opposite). That movie is based on actors acting as delinquents, and I try to be the farthest from that possible (matter of opinion, because I know most of you think anything related to drifting is delinquent)

I'm done with this. I have about $1200 that I have saved up myself for emergencies, I will find a clean shell to swap everything. Hopefully I can still count on some people here to help me out with advice (when needed) even though people look down upon me because how I use my car.
