The transmissions don't die if you don't drive like a fool. My car and those of my friends, with both the 5spd glassbox and the 6spd have no issues whatsoever despite actually racing and tracking our cars. So....yea, that's a driver fail on your part. If you don't do clutch dumps at 4500rpm, the transmission is just fine.

Anyways, picked up a 2011 Legacy that my wife drives and it is a great car. In that class of sedan, I thought it was the best mix of comfort and driving pleasure. It isn't as much of an appliance as the Camry and Accord and we got it with the 6 speed manual so there is some fun to be had.

Again ignorance, go on the web and read about how the 2nd and 3rd gear syncros are made of plastic and are prone to breaking easilty. That is why the 2007 STI was fitted with carbon ones. PWNED
