File a report with her insurance, but if you have full coverage and they start to screw with you, then turn all the info to your company and let them go after them. That wont go against you or your history since they are not going to be paying out.

I have state farm, they're A+. I have been hit (rear ended twice sideswiped once) by a few people with progressive and have had nothing but a horribly poor string of experiences with them. probably a good thing you're dealing with SF.

Edit : any body shop SF sends you to will be quality. they always replace panels and don't hack anything together. SF also warrants the work for as long as you own the vehicle.

things will end up in your favor for sure. she admitted guilt, the one thing you DO NOT do in an accident. therefore she knew SHE hit you. and like all others have said, file with her insurance company. no sense in hurting yourself? right?

I thought it was also going to be much worse, atleast thats gonna be repairable. It wouldnt take much damage to total out an e30. Seems like the insurance companies all want us driving 40k dollar cars so they can charge us higher premiums.

Ok the adjustor came today and checked out my car at work. Didn't bother to Lmk he even came by!!! Anyways statefarm is sending me a check for $900. I'm going to BMW dealership for repairs. Statefarm said they would pay additional costs based on what the bodyshop estimate is. Does this sound like how it usually works?

Exactly how it works. that $900 is less than 1/3 the estimated cost of the repair. do not cash that check under any circumstances, you will need to give it to the body shop to pick up your car. bring it to the shop and let them work their magic, but bring it to a state farm shop and they will usually pop for new parts if available. state farm was sued years back for using inferior stuff so now they get all new.

The reason the check is so little is because most people take the check and live with the damage. my dad was an adjuster years ago and has talked about the way insurance scams you nonstop. super shady imo. they take your money and give you the shaf when you need them.
